New Website, New Me

Welcome!

If you're reading this, then you've found us at the very beginning of what I hope will be an incredibly exciting journey. Our website has officially launched, and I honestly couldn't be happier to finally share it with you.

The title of this blog is New Website, New Me—a little tongue-in-cheek, because while the website might be new, the dream behind it certainly isn't.

The idea for Standout Talent UK actually began around three years ago. I came up with the name, designed the logo, and spent countless hours imagining what this agency could become. From day one, the plan was always to build it alongside my mum.

She is one of the most organised, thoughtful and caring people I know, and I genuinely can't think of anyone better suited to helping people build their careers. She has a natural instinct for supporting others, celebrating their successes and encouraging them through the challenges that inevitably come with working in this industry.

Unfortunately, life had other plans.

A couple of years ago, we both experienced some significant health challenges that meant our focus had to shift entirely towards recovery. Naturally, the agency had to take a back seat while we concentrated on what mattered most.

Fast forward to today, and we're finally here.

The website is live, the dream is back in motion, and it genuinely feels like the final piece of the puzzle. This launch feels like the cherry on top of the cake, and I honestly can't wait to see where this journey takes us.

For those who don't know me, I'm an actor, commercial model and voice artist myself. I've spent years working within the creative industry, auditioning, filming, learning, networking and building my own career. Throughout that time, I've realised something interesting.

Around half of the work I've booked has come through my own determination—finding opportunities, making connections and putting myself out there. The other half has come through my representation.

That made me ask myself a simple question:

Who is ever going to work harder for my career than I will?

The answer, of course, is nobody.

That mindset is exactly why I wanted to start an agency.

I know what it's like to be waiting for an audition. I know what it feels like to celebrate landing a role, and I know the disappointment when things don't quite go your way. I've experienced the uncertainty, the excitement, the long days, the self-tapes filmed late into the evening and the constant drive to keep improving.

Because I've lived it, I want to bring that same level of passion, commitment and determination to representing other people.

I want every person on our books to know they have someone genuinely rooting for them.

Whether you've already built an impressive list of professional credits or you're just starting out, experience isn't the only thing that matters to me.

Passion matters.

Dedication matters.

Growth matters.

If you're constantly developing your craft, working hard and showing your potential, that's what excites me.

I don't mind whether your latest performance was on a major television production or a monologue you filmed in your bedroom. Great talent can shine anywhere. What I'm looking for is commitment, authenticity and the willingness to keep learning.

If I believe in you, I'll back you wholeheartedly.

My goal isn't simply to build an agency.

It's to build a supportive community of talented, hardworking people who celebrate each other's successes and push one another to achieve their goals. I want Standout Talent UK to be somewhere people feel seen, encouraged and genuinely represented.

We're only just getting started, and I know there will be plenty to learn along the way. But that's part of the excitement.

Thank you for visiting our new website and for being here right at the beginning. Whether you're a performer thinking about applying, a casting professional stopping by, or you're simply curious about what we're building, I'm so grateful you're here.

Here's to new beginnings, exciting opportunities and helping talented people stand out.

Welcome to Standout Talent UK.

— Courtney
